1. Obtain A WMI

A World Manufacturer Identifier (WMI) is the first 3 characters of a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) which uniquely identifies the manufacturer of a motor vehicle or trailer. Click here for more information.

2. Establish Your VIN 

 

Our FedCert Suite platform utilizes a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) decoder.

Contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) to establish your VIN. Mention that you plan to use FedCert Suite's VIN deciphering scheme (pictured below).

 

The NHTSA requires completion of two forms (565 and 566) before they can verify a new VIN.
