SUPPORT
A vehicle is any unit that is driven or drawn by mechanical power and manufactured primarily for use on public streets, roads, or highways. Common examples include passenger cars, multipurpose passenger vehicles, trucks, buses, motorcycles, trailers, low speed vehicles, and pole trailers.
This information is based on guidance from NHTSA’s New Manufacturing Handbook.
No, a low-speed vehicle is not compatible with FedCert Suite. NHTSA has different vehicle attributes that are required for an LSV, such as brake system, and engine type. FedCert Suite is designed for towable non-motorized vehicles.
An MSO is a standardized document used to establish original ownership for a vehicle. If your unit is not classified as a vehicle, an MSO is not required.
