Vin Codes And Code Names
During the initial installation, the user enters the Vin Codes and Code Names where they are stored into the database. The codes are quickly exported into a preformatted report for proofing and easy submission to the government.
The software does not store this information, requiring the user to manually enter the code and code names for each of the 4 trailer attribute types every time a model is created.
This information will never need to be accessed again unless the user needs to change or add additional codes.
The vin number is derived from the data the user enters each time and prone to data entry errors. Since the codes are not stored in the database, the software can only verify the check digit based upon the accuracy of the data entered at the time.
The software automatically pulls the codes, calculates the vin numbers and verifies the check digit each time a vehicle is created.
Data Entry & Program Windows
All windows are formatted with a basic Microsoft style menus and functionality. The software provides a logical work flow with descriptive and common terminology that is user friendly.
All fields and functions are provided on the same screen, making it difficult to know how the program should flow. Unfamiliar terminology or abbreviations also adds to the users confusion.
Tutorial/Help
We offer a variety of tutorial methods, all of which contain visual guidance:
A descriptive narration is provided for each field.

Viewing Of Records
A "List "styled window is provided for each type of record stored by the database. A listing of all records, specified or an individual record can be viewed for each of the following types:
The user must scroll through each record stored in the database.
Models
Vehicles

Reports
The software contains preformatted reports to meet government requirements. Additional reports can be ran by specified date range, quickly viewed on screen or exported into a variety of formats (PDF, Excel, Word document, Rich Text). All reports are condensed containing numerous records per page and still remain easy to read.
Reports require the users to be familiar with exporting, formatting, sorting and deciphering the field names of the database records.
Model Year
The Model Year is selected from a drop-down menu containing a list of calendar years for easy selection. The software will convert the calendar year into the correct code per the government regulations.
The user must manually select the proper code for the Model Year desired for each model created.
Measurement Conversions
All required weights (kg, lbs, kpa, and psi) automatically calculate the conversion for the user. If the metric measurement is entered, the software will calculate the standard conversion. And if the user enters the standard measurement, the software will calculate the metric conversion as well.
Once the user has entered the standard measurement, the software will calculate the conversion. If the user does not have the standard measurement, they must manually calculate the standard measurement.
Early Warning Reporting (EWR)
EWR reporting has been made easy. The software comes equipped with preformatted report that meets all of the requirements. The user needs to complete any claims that have been filed and a sort form with their company information and select export. Both reports are quickly exported and ready for submission.
The software allows the user to edit regulated codes assigned by the government. The user must export the data into a rich text format, transfer the data into two separate spreadsheets, name and submit the reports while following all government guidelines.
