I created a vehicle with the wrong year, what do I do? |
You can change the Vehicle to the correct Model Year by opening the Vehicle record and selecting the correct Model.
When re-saving the changes, the software will inform you that you have made changes that will recalculate the vin,
select "Yes". The software will recalculate the vin and change it to the correct Model Year, but the sequence numbers will remain the same.

If I have a vehicle that I do not want, can this be deleted? |
No, for record keeping purposes, Vehicles can not be deleted, however they can be eliminated from your possibly being sold.
Open the vehicle that you wish to eliminate and select the "Invalid" check box and save. This will eliminate the vehicle from the "Find Vin" list in the Sales Window.
An "Invalid Vehicle" can always be changed back to a valid status by unchecking the "Invalid" box and resaving the Vehicle.

Can I duplicate a Vehicle?
|
Yes. Highlight the Vehicle you want to duplicate from the Vehicle List Window and select Duplicate.
The Duplicated Vehicle will open into the Vehicle Window. When the Vehicle is completed, select save to calculate the vin.
Starting with the 2.0 Version, you can enter the number of duplicates you want to make at one time. (Maximum of 99) and in version 3.0 & newer you can create as many as 999 at one time.

I cannot create a VIN number for a vehicle.

In the "Vehicle Window", be sure that all necessary attributes have been selected:
Plant
Type Of Trailer
Body Type
Length
Axle Configuration
If all of the attributes are selected but you receive a message stating the number has already been used, you may need to move the sequence number ahead 1 or more digits and then re-open the vehicle and try to save the vehicle again.
