How do I print an MSO?
|
MSO's are treated like a label by the software. When you are in the Print Label Window, the MSO selection is at the bottom of the Label Part Numbers in the "Choose an item to print" drop down list. | |||||||

Can I reprint an MSO?
|
You can reprint an MSO as many times as you want. Once an MSO has been printed, the vehicle is removed from the listing under the Print Labels Menu. To reprint any label or MSO, you will need to select the vehicle from the Vehicle List or Vehicle Window and select the print button.

Why do you offer 2 types of Certificates Of Origin (MSO's) |
Individual states decide what type of Certificates Of Origin (MSO's) they will accept.
Some states follow the AAMVA recommendations. These states require residents to submit 'money paper' MSO's to the Department Of Motor Vehicles. Other states have adopted less stringent standards and only require residents to submit 'security paper' MSO's.

Can you print an MSO without creating a sale? |
A sale should be created in FedCert Suite before printing an MSO. If a sale is not created, important items will not be printed, such as the customer information, the date of sale, or the invoice number.
In version 3.0 & newer you must complete a sale first.

The customer's name doesn't show up on the MSO. |
The Customers information will not print on the MSO unless there is a value in the "Dealer License Field" located in the Customer Info Window. You can use a number, letter, comma, period, etc as a value in the Dealer License Field when selling to an individual that does not have a License Number. Note: this value will not appear on any paperwork.
Verify that the vehicle has been "sold" in the system, Customer has an address & they have been assigned an "Address Label".

Can MSO's be filled out using an inkjet printer? |
Only the FD-325 or Security Paper MSO should be completed with an inkjet printer. All other labels associated with FedCert Suite must be filled out with a laser, thermal, or dot matrix printer. | |||||||
|
How can I print our company logo on the MSO? |
Graphic files can be uploaded to print on the MSO's, Logo, Signature and a Warranty (new with Version 2.0) graphic files can be uploaded through the Preferences Window located in the Administration Menu.
Graphic format accepted is JPG or BMP and the graphic sizes are as follows:
Signature: 1 1/2" x 1/2"
Logo: 1 1/2" x 1/2"
Warranty: 6 3/8" x 2 3/8"

Our Company Address does not print on the MSO. |
Only the Company Name, City and State are required by the government.
If all of your company information is missing, check the box for "Print Company Name and City/State on MSO" located in the Preferences window located in the Administration Menu.
